H.E. Ms. Bhaswati Mukherjee, presented her credentials as the Ambassador of India to  the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Her Majesty the Queen of the Netherlands on the 1^stSeptember, 2010. She is also concurrently accredited as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of India to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and is the Chairperson of the Executive Council of OPCW.

A very senior career diplomat from the 1976 batch of the Indian Foreign Service, Ambassador Mukherjee has served in various Indian Missions abroad including Paris, Cairo, New York and Geneva.  She has worked for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.  She is fluent in French.  She has also held different senior positions at the Ministry of External Affairs in India including Joint Secretary in the Europe West Division and Head of Administration/Personnel. Prior to her present appointment as Ambassador of India to the Netherlands she was the Ambassador/Permanent Representative of India to UNESCO (2004-2010).

Suriname’s former Minister of Justice, Mr. Chandrikapersad  Santokhi (1959) currently serves as the leader of the Indian Diaspora in Suriname, Chairman of the United Reformist Party (VHP) and also as the political leader of a combination of various multi-ethnic parties.
As a graduate from the Dutch Police Academy he migrated to Suriname and became the Chief Inspector of Police in 1982. Seven years later he became the Chief Investigation Officer of Police and Chief of the Police Force respectively.

Eberhard Van der Laan was appointed as Mayor of Amsterdam in the summer of 2010. Mayor Eberhard van der Laan is responsible for Public Order and Safety, Integrated Security Policy, Regulation and Harbours, General Affairs, Communication, Legal Affairs and City Administration.

Eberhard Edzard van der Laan was born in Leiden in 1955. He studied law at VU University Amsterdam and having graduated, took the initiative to set up his own law firm in 1992. This grew grew into a medium-sized practice in the capital of the Netherlands.

Th. L. N. Weterings is the mayor of Haarlemmermeer and is holding this position since April 26, 2007. Prior to heading the municipality of Haarlemermeer, Mr. Weterings was mayor of Beverwijk  and  earlier councillor in Tilburg. Before that from 1994 he was an alderman in Rijswijk. Mr. Weterings studied economy and graduated in 1985 from  the Catholic University of Tilburg .

J.H.C. van Zanen was born in 1961 and spent his childhood in Edam-Volendam. After high school, he completed his law studies at the Free University in Amsterdam and at Cornell University Law School in Ithaca, New York, USA. He served as Reserve Officer in the Dutch Royal Air Force. He worked as administrative and executive secretary in an employers association. In early 1998, Van Zanen became Alderman in Utrecht. In the period 2003 - 2008 he was national chairman of the VVD. Since July 2005 Mr. van Zanen is the mayor of Amstelveen.
