Ms. Tanja Malti Jadnanansing born at Leiden is since June 17th, 2010 a member of the parliamentary group of the Labour Party. As a parliamentarian she is responsible for higher education and science policy. Since November 21, 2012, she is chairman of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and Justice.


After her university education with a degree in Law she cofounded and became the communications director of an information center for young people in Amsterdam (2000-2003). Thereafter she worked as diversity manager at the Dutch Public Broadcasting (2004 - 2006), youth counsellor at the NIS (2006 - 2007) and broadcaster and program maker for Multicultural Television Netherlands and the broadcasting organization Hindu Media (2007-2008). From 2007 to 2009 she was editor at NOS Headlines and from 2009 to 2010 she was project manager of the permanent new campaign for the NOS.

Tanja Jadnanansing is a Member Trustees De Baak, President Nomination Board DutchVersity Hi5; Mentor and coach, youth radio station of Amsterdam 'Mosa'; Member Committee Recommendation Hindu Students Association. In 2003 she was awarded the public's prize at the Hollandse Nieuwe writer’s festival
