Dr. Sharad Rao is an Indian born in Kenya and a Barrister of Lincolns Inn London.

He is Chairman of Kenya Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board. He was formerly Director of Public Prosecutions in Kenya and served on several occasions as Attorney General.

He is also actively involved in sports at international level and was recently appointed Hon. Life Vice President of the Commonwealth Games Federation for exceptional and distinguished services rendered to Commonwealth games.
