Dr. Monica Lengoiboni is assistant professor at the School for Land Administration Studies at ITC (the faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation) of the University of Twente (Netherlands), in the department of Urban and Regional Planning and Geo-Information Management (PGM).

She holds a PhD in land administration (2011) from Wageningen University in collaboration with ITC and the Dutch Kadaster. Her PhD research focused on the land rights of nomadic pastoralists in the context of formal land administration and cadastral systems. Before pursuing her PhD she worked at the Netherlands The Netherlands' Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency  (Kadaster), and thereafter. Thereafter she instituted A BSc program Department of Land Administration and Management at INES-Ruhengeri in Rwanda.  At ITC, Monica’s research focuses on the impacts on land tenure related policies on the society.
